Avachinskiy volcano, also known as Avachinskaya Sopka or «Avacha» among Kamchatka residents, is an active volcano. It has a complex, cone-in-cone structure of Somma-Vesuvius type. The volcano used to be nearly twice the size than it is now, when a violent eruption in ancient past, reduced the volcano to almost half its original size, to what it is nowand a new active cone with beautiful contours stood up from the depths of the Earth. The remains of the old mountain can still be found at the base of the new volcano. The magnificent mountain is sure to leave a long lasting impression.
Our tour will take you up the Camel mountain, while immersing you in the raw beauty and magic of winter landscapes of Kamchatka! Our instructors will give you a chance to personally steer the snowmobile during our ascent.
We have a special program dedicated to winter extreme sport fans (mountain skiing, snowboarding). Skiing and snowboarding on the slopes of the Camel mountain (1200m). The program includes three snowmobile rides to the top of the Camel mountain (additional rides to the top are at the discretion of the instructor, at an additional cost).
